I am sorry that I can’t join the conference next weekend as I have been assigned to go to Shanghai on next Thursday to have an urgent meeting with one of our customers. This customer in Shanghai had been doing business with us for over 10 years, my supervisor really wants me to discuss with him in person, I’m really sorry about the last minute notice. As an apology, I promise to buy you a good meal later.

I am indeed busy over the past few weeks, a lot of customers were visiting and deadlines are coming for a lot of projects. How are you there? Hope you will enjoy your trip next weekend.
